Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Clippy (the "Service"), an AI-powered short-form video clipping platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Clippy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Your content and rights

• You retain ownership of the videos and material you upload ("Your Content").
• You grant Clippy a limited licence to host, process, and transform Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g. clipping, captioning, reframing).
• You confirm you own or have the rights to Your Content and that processing it does not infringe any third party's rights or any law.
• You are solely responsible for what you upload and for how you use the clips you generate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Clippy to upload, create, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that violates the rights or privacy of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

5. Credits, plans, and payment

The Service runs on a credit system and paid subscription plans. Credits and plan entitlements are described at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by subscribing you also agree to their terms. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. See our Refund Policy.

6. AI-generated output

Clippy uses automated and AI systems to detect moments, generate captions, and edit video. Output may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing clips before publishing them.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or where required by law.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clippy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
